CADA Summit 2022 Dealer Panel speakers to focus on ZEV Transition
December 13, 2021
In addition to an industry-wide panel on the current state of the transition to zero-emissions vehicles (ZEVs) in Canada, CADA Industry Relations Manager Bonnie Wasser recently confirmed that the CADA Summit 2022 Dealer Panel will also focus on ZEVs, including how to increase EV sales at dealerships, and tips for the dealer audience on transitioning to selling electric vehicles.
In an interview with CADA Newsline, Wasser said the panel on the current state of the transition to ZEVs will include the participation of Brian Kingston from the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers' Association, David Adams from Global Automakers of Canada, Flavio Volpe from the Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association, and Jerry Dias of Unifor.
“We understand that dealers are interested in learning more about the state of this transition and also how they can shift to selling electric vehicles and increase their EV sales,” said Wasser. “For this reason, we decided to focus this year’s Dealer Panel on this topic.”
The Dealer Panel is always well-received at the CADA Summit, as the dealer audience hears from leading peers from across Canada who can speak to the results of new innovations in their dealerships.
Wasser said the 2022 Dealer Panel will feature dealers who have been at the forefront of increasing EV sales and offer tips on transitioning to selling these types of vehicles, which include hybrid and plug-in variants. The panel will include Hugo Jeanson, Dealer Principal of Bourgeois Chevrolet Buick GMC and Bill Harbottle, President of the Jim Pattison Auto Group, with further participants to be announced soon.
Registration for CADA Summit 2022, which is planned to take place as a live gathering at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on February 16, 2022, will be open soon. Anyone who cannot attend in-person will have the option to view an online broadcast of the event.
