Participating dealers get custom CADA Workforce reports
June 10, 2024
Conducted every two years, the 2024 CADA Workforce Study is a national study of payroll data, anonymously collected from participating dealers, that gets aggregated to present a clear picture of labour and employment trends in dealerships across Canada.
The CADA dealer members who participated in the study, and confidentially shared their payroll data, will have now received a custom report directly from CADA’s survey partner Quantum5. This report will compare their dealership’s data to aggregated data from other relevant dealerships within their peer group.
Dealerships can use the reports to assess their stats on wages, retention, and employee turnover across a broad range of dealership job titles to their market.
“The participation in the CADA Workforce Study increased by just under 50% this year, with almost 700 dealerships taking part,” said Brigette Goldenshtein, CADA’s Communications Coordinator, and the project lead for the study. “This is great news for dealers, because it means the data is even more accurate and useful for them.”
Tim Reuss, CADA’s President and CEO, thanked participating dealers, and said the success of this year’s study can also be linked to the support from provincial dealer associations who were promoting it to their members. “We had full support from the PAEs, and we thank them for their efforts. Our industry really understands just how valuable these reports are,” said Reuss.
"These detailed reports help our dealer members better understand the workforce trends in their local market," said Blair Qualey, President & CEO, New Car Dealers Association of B.C. (NCDA). "Armed with this data, they can make better decisions on wages and benefits to remain competitive. We encouraged our members to participate, and now those who did are rewarded with these custom reports."
“Our CCAM dealer members took part in the CADA Workforce Study and confidentially shared their payroll data. Now they will receive a custom report that helps them see how their wages, benefits and things like employee retention and turnover compared to their relevant dealership peer group," said Denis Dessureault, Executive Vice-President of the Montreal Automobile Dealers Association (CCAM.) "This is useful data as dealerships try to manage their teams."
CADA will be releasing a national report aggregating all the data from across the country
