Hickman named Second Vice-Chair of CADA Executive Committee
May 9, 2022
Newfoundland dealer Jonathan Hickman, Vice-President of the Hickman Automotive Group, was appointed as the representative for Atlantic Canada to the CADA Executive Committee.
Hickman recently took on the role as Second Vice-Chair, from beloved Nova Scotia dealer Sean O’Regan, who was formerly the President and CEO of the O’Regan’s Automotive Group. Sean O’Regan passed away suddenly on March 10.
“I am certainly filling some big shoes in entering this role,” said Hickman. “However, I am up for the challenge and I look forward to the opportunity to do my part in helping dealers across the country and the automotive retail industry.”
Hickman brings with him a wealth of experience, having started his career with the Hickman Automotive Group at the age of 15. The group is now a fifth generation, family-owned and operated automotive business that employs nearly 500 people in Newfoundland and Labrador and Nova Scotia.
Hickman is currently part of the CADA Inter-Association Affairs Group and the Canadian Transplant Association (as the Newfoundland representative), and is on the Georgian College Board of Governors, the Atlantic Chrysler Advertising Board, the Nissan Product Advisory Board and the Chrysler Dealer Council.
He is also a recipient of the CADA Laureate Award for Business Innovation.
“I entered the automotive industry at a young age and continue to grow within the sector,” said Hickman. “The experience I gained over the course of my career will be put to good use in my role as Second Vice-Chair of the CADA Executive Committee. I look forward to tackling the many projects that come my way, and ensuring dealer voices continue to be heard.”
