The National Automobile Dealers Association hosted an international roundtable on March 10 in Las Vegas, Nevada, bringing together dealer association participants from Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Europe, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and Mexico during the annual NADA conference.
The two-hour meeting took place at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel, and included discussions around the current state of the automotive industry—particularly concerning the evolving business models being tried by some OEMs in certain jurisdictions around the world.
“We are grateful to the NADA for hosting this important meeting, and for bringing us all together for a timely discussion regarding certain changes occurring within the industry,” said CADA President and CEO Tim Reuss in an interview with CADA Newsline.
Reuss, along with CADA Chairman Peter Heppner, attended the meeting, which also included a presentation by Glenn Mercer. He said the meeting was a great opportunity for dealer associations from across the globe to finally come together and exchange information and experiences in-person.
“After many months of pandemic-related restrictions, we are pleased to be able to meet with our counterparts in the U.S. and in other countries, to discuss such important challenges, live and in-person,” said Reuss.
The meeting was a follow-up to a series of virtual meetings held last year. CADA hopes to reciprocate next year during its 2023 CADA Summit to be held in Toronto, Ont. in conjunction with the Canadian International Autoshow.
