CADA Summit 2021 to explore how change is accelerating for Canada’s auto dealers
September 28th, 2020
The 9th annual CADA Summit promises to tackle the theme of Accelerating Change in the automotive industry and what that will mean for dealers moving forward.
“CADA Summit 2021 will examine changes for dealers that were in the works before the COVID-19 pandemic and have moved ahead faster because of it,” said Bonnie Wasser, Industry Relations Manager at CADA. “We will look at whether these accelerating changes are a temporary blip or a permanent flip.”
New York Times bestselling author Jeremy Gutsche will set the stage by explaining how the pandemic has accelerated change and how that applies to the world of Canadian automotive dealerships.
The CEO of Toronto-based Trend Hunter, Gutsche is an expert on innovating through chaos and how smart teams overlook great ideas that were within their reach. He is known for his energizing keynotes and has been described as “an intellectual can of Red Bull.”
David Frum, Social and Political Commentator and Senior Editor at the Atlantic is one of the most influential political analysts of our time, offering a rational conscience into the mainstream and often-polarized world of American politics and their impact on Canada. Frum will help crystallize what the current political climate will mean, for the good, the bad, and the future by providing an analysis of the results of November’s U.S. election and what it implies for Canadians and businesses on this side of the border.
Other topics and questions that will be addressed are changes in how customers are approaching car buying, changing vehicle lineups, new opportunities for dealers, new sales processes, revenue streams from connected cars, fraud protection and prevention in the digital finance and leasing process, real estate and facilities, and the Canadian economic situation in 2021.
CADA Summit 2021 will feature traditional favourite components, including a panel of top Canadian dealers and recognition of the 2020 CADA Laureates and winners of the 2020 CADA Dealer Satisfaction Index survey awards.
“If you have attended the Summit in the past, you already know that you won’t want to miss the outstanding content focused directly towards Canada’s auto dealers,” said Wasser. “And if you haven’t been able to join us before, it will be easier than ever for you to attend this February. Dealer principals and managers who have not been able to travel to Toronto in previous years will be able to participate online, and all dealership staff are welcome to attend.”
The CADA Summit will be held online on February 10, 2021 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. EST. The event format will include shorter speaker and panel sessions, along with opportunities for dealers to partake in live Q&A sessions with the speakers and networking. More details and registration will be announced as they are available.
