Job Postings Free for Limited Time
July 30, 2018
Following the official launch of the Auto Career Start initiative (ACS) in June, CADA would like to remind dealers that the program—which also includes a job board to help promote employment opportunities and the automotive retail market—is free* until August 31, 2018, according to Astrid Mauger, CADA’s Marketing Specialist.
“CADA continues to offer the program, which includes on an online portal and the job board, at no charge to dealers. The five free credits available to each individual dealership can also be used until August 31,” said Mauger. “In addition to all of this, we are also pushing the job postings to Indeed.”
Mauger adds that the cost of posting an employment opportunity after August 31 via the ACS program (which can be done directly by visiting the carsandjobs.com website) is $25 per posting. This includes a posting on the job board and the employment-listing search engine, Indeed.com. CADA plans to keep this as part of the cost of the program moving forward.
As it stands, there are more hits to the website from job seekers than there are dealer job postings online, pointing to a significant interest in retail automotive on the part of consumers. Job seekers have been actively visiting the site nationwide since February, as dealers across the country have been posting employment opportunities, thanks in no small part to the encouragement from the provincial associations. The program is also gaining traction on social media.
The ACS program was developed to attract more qualified and diverse people to careers in the Canadian auto retail sector. The goal is to help position the industry as an exciting and rewarding place to work by educating the public about the wide range of job opportunities available in the country, while providing dealers with the necessary tools to spread the word about available employment.
